DIRECTOR

Gryphon has worn many hats in the theatre world over 20 years. Starting as an actor at the age of five, then growing into a director, fight choreographer, producer, and writer as she grew into her storytelling process. With a focus on Shakespearian works, Gryphon graduated from UCSB with her Bachelors in Theatre Arts. Some of her most recent work includes ‘All’s Well That Ends Well’ with the Prague Shakespeare Company, the premiere of her own piece ‘Much Ado About…Whatever,’ and her short film directorial debut, ‘Unus Umbra’ now available on Youtube.

FRANCIS

David Duplechin is the founder of Magnialma. He is an actor that had the intransigent vision to create performances that he can be proud of. He built this institution to inspire many generations to have a better artistic future by leading with long standing first principles in the field of aesthetics.

ROKSANA

Danya Marie is a Los Angeles-based actor originally from Mexico. She is deeply passionate about storytelling and bringing truth and vulnerability to her work. Drawn to complex human emotions, she strives to create honest and compelling performances. When she’s not on stage, she continues to grow, explore, and connect through her craft.

WILLIAM

João is a Los Angeles-based actor originally from Brazil. In His Own Shadow is his debut production with the company, and his previous credits include Julius Caesar. He trained at the New York Film Academy and continues to develop his craft. He loves giving audiences a great night at the theater and making sure it’s worth every penny.

VICTOR

George Vagujhelyi is an actor and composer who graduated from the School of Dramatic Arts at the University of Southern California. Previous credits include ‘Wolfgang’ in the Boston Court’s production of The Night of the Iguana. He would like to thank his friends and family for their unwavering support and you, dear reader, for supporting live theater.

JULIA

Alexandra Browning is a Los Angeles-based actress originally from Santa Cruz, CA. A recent BFA graduate in Acting for Film from the New York Film Academy, she is thrilled to be part of In His Own Shadow! When she’s not acting, she enjoys hiking, charity work, and spending time with her cat, Mittsie.

STAGE MANAGER/SOCIAL MEDIA

Doroteja Jurican is a Slovenian actress based in LA and she is excited to stage manage yet another play! She has assistant-stage managed a couple of shows before including ‘The Gondoliers’ and ‘Mariam Mariam Mariam.’ Doroteja is also working closely with Film Pandemonium and Cinema Cifuentes, where she writes and acts- you can find more about their projects on Youtube. Her most proud work is her short ‘Dolores,’ which is entering a festival run circuit.

WRITER

Henrik Abrahamsen is a Norwegian playwright and screenwriter. He believes that story exists to show what man can be and ought to be - that it is a moral art. He writes with a cultural ambition: to reintroduce moral heroism as a serious artistic principal - a standard for what popular storytelling can become again.
